Corgi Chaos Chronicles: The Hilarious Adventures of Trey and Owen
Owning a pet can bring endless joy and laughter into our lives, but when those pets are corgis, the hilarity skyrockets to a whole new level! Meet Trey and Owen, my two mischievous corgis who treat our home like their personal playground. From their antics to their adorable faces, they have completely stolen our hearts—and our snacks!
Counter Surfers and Laundry Looters
One of the most amusing—and slightly exasperating—traits of my corgis is their uncanny ability to sniff out food. I’ve lost count of the times I’ve left a meal on the kitchen counter, only to return moments later to find one of them, usually Trey, with his front paws up, happily munching away. It’s as if they have a sixth sense for detecting unattended snacks. I often wonder if they hold meetings while I’m out of the room, plotting their next culinary heist.
And don’t even get me started on laundry day. I can’t remember how many times I’ve folded fresh clothes, only to find them covered in a fine layer of dog hair seconds after I leave the room. It seems that Owen has claimed the couch as his throne, and my freshly laundered attire is merely his latest accessory. While I may grumble about the hair, I can’t help but laugh at their sheer determination to make every piece of furniture a cozy dog bed.
The Poop Patrol
Twice a week, I embark on my mission to keep the backyard tidy, armed with special covers for my shoes. As soon as I slip them on, the high-pitched whines of my corgis fill the air. They seem to believe that the mere sight of shoes means adventure—either a car trip or a walk in their minds. Their excitement is contagious, and it’s impossible not to smile at their enthusiasm, even when I’m knee-deep in doggy doo!
Royalty in Our Home
Every corner of our house is adorned with the presence of Trey and Owen. They have established themselves as royalty, lounging on every mattress and piece of furniture as if they own the place. Our home is a tapestry of dog hair, toys, and the occasional muddy paw print, but it’s a small price to pay for the love and laughter they bring.
Even in the depths of winter, when snow blankets the ground and cabin fever sets in, there’s nowhere I’d rather be than here with my two furry companions. Their antics keep us entertained, and their snuggles warm our hearts. I can’t imagine life without their goofy personalities and unwavering affection.
Conclusion: Embracing the Chaos
Having Trey and Owen in our lives means embracing the chaos they create. It’s about letting go of perfection and enjoying the messiness that comes with loving two spirited corgis. They remind us to find joy in the little things, whether it’s a stolen snack, a laundry pile turned dog bed, or the simple pleasure of their company. So here’s to my hilarious, trouble-making corgis—may our adventures continue to bring laughter and love into our home!

Owen Jones "Gotcha Day"
I Not Corgi... I PENGUIN !!
In my 38 years of life, my family has had four dogs. I plan to share stories about the others in future posts, but today I want to introduce our newest addition, Owie Badowee Jones. Owen is our latest rescue dog and has been welcomed into our family with open arms. My mom found him for adoption through a kind woman who lives about an hour and a half south of Missoula, MT.
There are many reasons why we wanted another dog. Our family loves pets, and even in my late 30s, I maintain a close relationship with my parents and sister; we see each other often. We're a tight-knit family, and that means a lot to me!
I decided to join my mom and sister in her white minivan to pick up little Owie from a gas station. We brought our third dog, Mr. Trayters McGee (though we usually call him Tray for short). We felt that getting Owen would be great for Trey, who had only been with us for a few months. Thankfully, we were right!
We met the woman at a gas station right off the freeway. She was very kind and found it hard to say goodbye to Owen, but we promised to send her pictures regularly, which my sister and mom still do. Before we knew it, we were back in the van. Initially, Trey was a bit wary of Owen, but within minutes, he warmed up, and they became inseparable best friends. It was truly heartwarming to witness.
Fast forward about two years to today: Owen is a bundle of joy, sweetness, and lovable mischief, all packed into a small dog. He's protective, loyal, and the best lap buddy with an endless supply of kisses! We adore both of our dogs. One of the toughest aspects of being a pet owner is knowing that our cherished furry companions are with us for only a limited time. This is one of the many reasons why dog photos are so precious! We feel incredibly fortunate to have Owen and Trey. Despite their occasional mischief, dogs enrich our lives every single day.

It's hard to believe that June is just two days away! I haven't been a professional dog photographer for long; my first paid job was back in October. This website isn't primarily a business platform; it serves more as a space for me to enjoy what I do and reflect on my experiences.
I'm currently brainstorming ways to make the most of summer as a photographer. Summers in Montana can be stunning, but with the state's significant seasonal changes, they often feel rather short to me.
I've received approval to conduct my business photo sessions at three large Forest Service locations near my hometown, which offers me plenty of options. When I say these locations are large, I mean really big! However, I'm also pondering what kind of photography I want to pursue for my personal enjoyment, separate from work.
I don’t mean to sound cliché, but photography is the center of my life. From dawn until dusk, I'm either taking pictures or figuring out ways to improve. Will I travel for photography this summer? Maybe, but more likely, I'll stay within my home state. There are countless beautiful places to explore that offer excellent photo opportunities, so I plan to create a list of locations I want to visit while the weather is still pleasant.
We all remember how, as kids, summer vacation felt endless. Unfortunately, that's not the case anymore (though you could very well be twelve!). So, I intend to make the most of this summer and capture some great photos along the way.
